While much of his background is Haythorn Ranch breeding, Joe was bred by the San Cristobal Ranch and raised by Randy Brookings and carries the well known Funny B brand. As a yearling, Joe was part of a transaction between Randy Brookings and Don Woitte that brought Joe to Alberta and Heart Hancock and Berrys Babe to Texas. We bought Joe from Don Woitte as a three year old and have been well pleased with him. Joe was easy to start, a trait he passes on to his colts along with good heads and necks and lots of color. Standing 16 hands, he also passes on good size, bone and athleticism. You don't have to go back far on his papers to start finding "legends", Joe is 12.5% Joe Hancock and 9.375% Driftwood.
